God is in control of all things, but He leaves a lot of the major choices up to us. We can either listen to Him and obey His commandments or we can disobey Him and suffer repeated defeat. It's a simple choice really. If we walk with Him, in obedience, He will stand with us and ensure victory over our challenges. However, if we choose to disassociate from God and go our own way, we will be overtaken by strife and difficulties. There will always be obstacles and problems we must face in this life. But God promises us victory if we remain in His will.
Deuteronomy 7:28
The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways...
