I received an email from one of my Korean students

Between 11:15am service and Communion service yesterday, I went home to relax, eat some food and check my email. When I checked my hotmail account for new emails, I found that I had received an email from someone I was not expecting to receive an email from. This person is very special to me and I love him very much. I received an email from one of my first grade students in Korea. And I am telling you that almost let a tear drop. I could not believe it. I have not seen, Mark since I left Korea on September 30, 2008. Its been about 6 months.

Before I left, he told me that he asked his father if he could create an email account so he could keep in touch with me. And so he did. We emailed each other a few times after I returned home but somehow life became a distraction. Now that I have received this email, I have begun to recollect all of the memories that I have stored in my mental archive as well as my blog archive.

This is the email Mark sent me. Wouldn't this make you a little teary eyed?

Hello! Christoph!!
Did you have a good time?
I am 2nd grade now.
In Korea it is spring.
Did you forget me? I did not forget you.
If you forget me, I will be very disappointed.

I miss my students so much! See, in Korea and in other countries. Students have no problem with saying, "I love you." And it is not a problem for a teacher to respond in like manner.

So, Mark, I want you to know that I love you and I will never forget you!

I woke up blessed this morning

Hello world!

I just wanted to share with how blessed I feel today. When I woke up this morning, I opened my laptop and logged on. My computer is two years old and loaded with videos and large files so it takes a little while to ready itself. When it finally, loads and does whatever it has to do in order for me to check my email, I notice that I've received an email from an associate/customer from a while back. It is truly a blessing to wake up and be blessed by someone who I haven't talked to or done business with in so long. I just felt like sharing this with you all.

What’s up Christoph? I am pretty sure you do not remember me it’s been a while with you going to Korea and all, but this is Ashton (Steve’s friend), I used to buy the Levis from you and all of that good stuff. Anyway long story short, I just so happen to Google you wondering what that website was that you created (selling electronics and stuff like that) but while doing so I ran across an entire page of sites that had something that dealt with you. After seeing all of this I thought to myself, is this the Christoph that Steve introduced Charlyse and I to in regards to buying some cheap but fresh clothes( im like this cant be him). It just so turns out that as I read a little more out of the curiosity of it being you or not it turns out you have your on site Christophj.com as I scroll through the site I am amazed at the fact that you have touched so many people's lives with your blogs on religious testimonies, teaching English to students in South Korea, and all of these worldwide tutorial sites you have created. I must not forget your book. After seeing all of this and the comments that your student left you on your site I definitely had to say myself that it is definitely an honor to be able to say that I have met you, although it was only once. I am just amazed to say that I have met a person that is willing to devote his life into helping people with theirs. Overall, it’s good to hear that your doing good for yourself, not too many of us are like that so keep your head high. I just wanted to let you know that you are definitely a blessing.

The same sentiments about my church, New Samaritan Baptist Church

Someone feels the same way I do about my church. Carlisa left a comment on the post,

I just want to take this time to say may god bless you in your journey over there...I too am a member of New Samaritan...I joined maybe 3 years ago. It has been the church of my best friend Kia for many years and they have been a true blessing to both myself & my family...in my times of loneliness and weakness New Samaritan guided me to the lord and he carried me as the congregation supported me as well as others keeping us all spiritually bound...I now live in west Baltimore and am unable to attend as often as I would like....but our church is forever in my heart as I see it is in yours....anyplace can be a temple for teachings....but not all can capture the true essence & presence of the lord not only on Sunday but all year through...I love me some GOD & I love Me Some New Samaritan! Hey bro... Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, however, that movie is off the hook... U had me thinking man... and just questioning some things like, would I stay still or continue to pursue... Man, if we stay still... if we let our past stop us, we won't pursue our goals and be what God has called us to be... Dude, God is using you man and I am glad I am connected...

Definitely - you know the enemy will always try to break up good friendships and things of God so lets rebuke that now in the name of Jesus... God is doing and going to do some more awesome things man... Gosh, I am excited...... You know as I think of this, I just got the revelation and look at Moses and Joshua... Moses, looked because he wanted to see what was out there. God showed Himself to him but he was afraid... He was afraid, yet still excited to go forth although he doubted... therefore God anointed his relative and he wanted to roll with him to do his plan... Joshua... was a follower of Moses, next in line, so you know he was going to inherit those traits of timidity. That is why Joshua was told not to be afraid and have good courage 6 times over... Yet he was still excited and God showed himself strong with the following of others... man, that stimulated Joshua’s courage... Dude... that is just to say we are connected and we are connected with others as well... We have to keep each other encouraged but as we doubt or have lack of faith, God reminds us of that excitement he had for us; especially as we look back and see what we have defeated... Look at David; man I can go on...
