My Poetry: Please & Thank You!

by Christoph J.

Lord God, I need You, NOW!

Please?!

I'm praying! Please, hear me!
I'm broken! Please, fix me!
I'm wounded! Please, heal me!
I'm dirty! Please cleanse me!
I'm naked! Please, clothe me!
I'm hungry! Please, feed me!
I'm without! Please, provide for me!
I'm weak! Please, strengthen me!
I'm vulnerable! Please, defend me!
I'm alone! Please, accept me!
I'm scared! Please, lead me!
I'm naive! Please, learn me!
I'm lost! Please, guide me!
I'm worried! Please, soothe me!
I'm crying! Please, hug me!
I'm here! Please, notice me!
I'm empty! Please, fill me!
I'm bound! Please, loose me!
I'm sinning! Please, deliver me!
I'm guilty! Please, teach me!
I'm sorry! Please, forgive me!
I'm honest! Please, believe me!
I'm vacant! Please, live in me!
I'm clay! Please, mold me!
I'm yours! Please, control me!
I'm ready! Please, send me!
I'm grateful!!!

THANK YOU JESUS!!!
I LOVE YOU!

My friend lost her mom

One of my very good friends lost her mom so I decided to write her a poem to offer my condolences and to show her how much I care.

Ozsha,

I offer you my love and support from a distance/ And with persistence, I pray your strength/ There is no length to the love that He has for you/ Right now, I pray that the pain will not last for you/ Lord God, I ask for you to bless Ozsha and the ones who love her/ Hug her with your loving embrace/ Smile upon her as she seeks your face/ Place angels around her/ And have them surround her and her family/ I lift her family on high/ So that you may cry upon them tears of peace/ And in that peace, may her mother rest/ I call Ozsha blessed in the name of Jesus.

AMEN!

My Poetry: Each One, Teach One!

by Christoph J.

I get inspired!/ To lift HIS name higher and higher/ I admire those who get excited for Christ/It's nice to see young people get enticed by the truth/The youth of today tend to jump off the roof/ Or the bridge/ Cuz they see their friends do it/ Seems like there's nothin' to it/ Got friends named NIKE/ Just Do It!/ ...Who's it?/ You're it!/ Tag the next youngsta/ Who stands amongst the...crowd/ Have 'em vow to stand for/ More than just what's average/ Tell that young boy that he's "That One"/ Not a Maverick/ Teach him the way/ Don't preach him away!/ Live a life worth following/ Hallowing thy name in the process/ Encourage progress/ Not sex before marriage/ But if the baby carriage comes before the broom has been jumped over/ Tell that boy to be a man and stand/ Not to stand slumped over, Sad/ Mad cuz his Dad wasn't there to teach him/ We have to reach him/ Before the world does/ Because if we don't/ His child won't have a chance.

Speak To My Heart

by Christoph J.

Lord,

Teach me how to pray, effectively!
I mean, at church, we pray together collectively,

But I am speaking of a personal prayer,
On a deeper layer that connects to the core of the relationship that we share.

I was told to be sincere the next time I came to you,
To make sure my mind was clear and to lay claim to you.

My heart yearns for a spiritual conversation.
The lack of communication fuels my frustration.

I've recognized that my faith is fragile
Maybe it's because my sins are agile

Lord, I pray that you accept my repentance
I know that, for my sins, you accepted that death sentence

And on that third day, you rose again
I will say it aloud and even with this pen

SPEAK TO MY HEART!!!

Lord, I'm listenin'

AMEN!

The "Peace " To My Puzzle

There is a "peace" to my puzzle that I'm missing...I'm incomplete!
So I retreat to that quiet place where God and I used to meet

Because my faith has been tested and I need to pray.
There's no way to get around it so I seek His face.

I close my eyes and I visualize me at His feet,
Bowed down and as humble as I could ever be.

I repent of my sins to make sure my slate is clean.
I know He's the bread of life, but I feel like my plate is clean.

I need directions to where I'm going before I stray too far.
Its been a while since the last time I prayed to God

I've backslid to a point where I'm filled with guilt
So I need to strengthen the bond that He and I have built

"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I fear no evil!" Now I am free to take a breath.

"He lovingly leads me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul", along with His sons and daughters.

"He annoints my head with oil. My cup overflows
Surely goodness and love will follow me," So, I go where He goes

I will take shelter in arms whenever there's bad weather
"And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever" and ever

AMEN!!!

Food for thought:; quite healthy too.

I cling to the things that make me happy, naturally. I mean... that may seem cliche but some people mistake happiness for satisfaction. Satisfaction can be obtained in a very short period of time. However, I believe happiness evolves from and revolves around the things in our everyday life. Unfortunately, many people choose to indulge in the things that will almost guarantee them instant gratification but sacrifice the things and people that will bring them happiness for a longer period of time. Don't get me wrong, I have been guilty of such sins but if my words have the ability develop wings of encouragement, I hope they take flight in someone's life.

Sought Potential

by Christoph J.

My mind is a canister filled with ink/ My thoughts take a timid dip the moment I think of my potential/ The pen is the preferred utensil/ The use of a pencil would lead to the temptation to erase the tread marks of my thoughts/ I cannot risk forgetting the lessons that I was taught/ As I climb life’s steps, I grasp the banister/ At times my pride releases my grip/ And then my canister begins to tip/ Causing my ink to slowly drip/ Drops of ink land on this paper/ With traces of my thoughts, the ink begins to taper/ Leaving behind italicized text in the form of a poem/ Its context stands on end as if it tempts me to comb through my life’s kinks/ HE thinks I shine/ Curiosity of my potential leads me to continue to climb and climb/But sometimes the hand of time refuses to shake my hand in agreement/ So I carve my name in the cement of patience/

Right now, I want you to do the same and carve your name in that same cement of patience and anticipate the continuation of this poem. Patience is indeed a virtue.
