You are responsible for me being here!!! I blame you!!! J/K

Appreciative would be a lightweight term if I were to describe my feelings toward my friend, Terre', simply because she shared with me an opportunity that I prayed would come my way. It is interesting how it all took place. Weeks before I even met her, I had been researching different ways I could travel without having to come out of pocket. I would Google keywords like, "travel for free, get paid to travel." But I was little apprehensive about going about it in that manner because I wanted security in taking such a big step. I didn't know anything about the programs I found as a result of the search. I would be that one who gets lost and stuck in another country, crying 'cuz he can't get home. haha. No, but seriously, I wouldn't have cried. But anyway, I met Terre' through a friend. Her name is Connie. She's cool by the way. Hi Connie! ...Oh yeah, Connie, my cousin, Eric, and I had plans to go to out and chill on a Saturday night and Connie let me know that her BFF(Best Friend Forever for all the older folks reading, lol) would be coming to join us. So that is how Terre' and I met. The funny thing is though, Terre' was leaving for Korea on that coming Thursday. I was in awe. You would have thought that I was on Jeopardy. I asked so many questions that night, I could have conducted an interview.
Needless to say, she gave me all of her recruiter's information that night. We didn't get home from hanging out until like 2am, but that didn't stop me from sending my resume, head shot, and 3 good references to the recruiter that same night. I wasn't playin'. I didn't want to waste anytime. I, then received a response from the recruiter a few days later. In the email, the recruiter said he would call me the following week for a phone interview. By that time, Terre' had already left for Korea. But it was a blessing though because now that Terre' was in Korea, she was able to give me the heads up on things I needed to bring, what to expect, things like that. And she did. Now, we are both here in Korea enjoying ourselves while being able to save up some money in the process. To God be the Glory!!!

I can totally relate to this story. It is because of your older brother that I am here. What started out as a group of 5 people who wanted to come and visit for 1 week, then a phone call to really think about coming to live here for 1 year for 3 people quickly went from 3 to 1 in a matter of days and I was the last "wo-man" standing...It is funny because no really thought that I was going to actually go through with it, including me..but I am glad that I was obedient to the voice of God. I know because of our obedience we will live an extra-ordinary life...that when we look back all we can say is, "That was nothing, but God".

Chris, you've become a really close friend. I'm so happy you decided to come out here. It really helps to have a familiar face from home and just someone who understands you culturally. I'm so glad I was blessed to meet you (another shout out to Connie) and I'm honored to be in your "blog." Thanks for the support.
Our boast is in Christ!!!
Love ya!
